Midwives’ knowledge and ability in interpreting foetal heart rate patterns in Cape Town in the Western Cape province of South Africa

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to determine midwives’ knowledge in performing foetal heart rate monitoring, to assess midwives’ abilities in the interpretation of foetal heart rate patterns according to their years of clinical experience as a registered midwife.
