    Abstract
Terrorism has become one of the biggest threats to international peace and security. It threatens to destroy basic human rights and freedoms, particularly the rights to life, liberty, security, and in more recent times, religious rights, the methods used by terrorists to carry out their activities have become more sophisticated and complex, making it increasingly difficult to decipher how they operate. there is, however, one aspect that can be pinned down, namely, that terrorists need money to terrorise.
