Focussing on interpersonal relations, this research project aimed to investigate subjective lived experiences of the newer form of gender-based violence (GBV), that is cyber intimate partner violence (cyber IPV) in the pregnancy period of South African women - an area with scarce research output. Ethical clearance was received from the Biomedical Science Research Ethics Committee of the University of the Western Cape. Thereafter, approval from the Department of Health’s National Health Research Database (NHRD), and a Community Health Centre to conduct research at the medical facility followed.en_US
