dc.description.abstract | Background: The current study explored the barriers and motivators for anti-hypertensive medication adherence among private health care patients in Masvingo, Zimbabwe. Hypertension is common in Zimbabwe and adherence to anti-hypertensive medication remains a major challenge. The study was motivated by presence of many hypertension-related challenges despite the existence of conventional medicine. Methodology: The study adopted a qualitative study methodology, and the data was collected from 16 purposively selected people living with hypertension who bought their medication from a selected pharmacy. The respondents were interviewed and the data was analyzed using thematic analysis. | en_US |
