The COVID-19 pandemic has affected individuals both physically and mentally, and existing studies emphasise that mental healthcare workers are facing similar psychological struggles and are not immune to mental illness. However, limited research exists on the mental health effects of COVID-19 on mental healthcare workers, specifically those within the South African context. The present study aimed to address this gap within literature by investigating the psychological effects of COVID-19 on mental healthcare workers in South Africa.en_US
