Abstract
Due to the rapidly changing environments of our world today, huge pressure is mounting on
organisations to find innovative ways to remain competitive and profiting. The goal of this

financial institutions in South Africa. The study adopted the interpretive research paradigm,
wherein primary data was collected using the qualitative exploratory design, based on
concepts derived from literature. In this regard, fifteen respondents were chosen for the
study through the purposive sampling technique. The data collection process involved oneon-
one semi-structured in-depth interviews.
